Screening Interview - Key Observations

General Observations

Process Optimization & Initiative: Demonstrated a proactive approach to workflow improvement. At Tusker Capital, he identified that the initial loan intake process lacked critical data, causing delays. He took the initiative to redesign the client intake form to capture the necessary information upfront, a change that leadership approved and implemented to streamline operations.

Strategic Analysis Project: He highlighted a complex project where he led the selection of a new DSCR loan partner. This involved analyzing four different potential lending partners based on pricing, bureaucracy, and processing times, creating "one-pagers" for each, and delivering a consolidated executive presentation in Canva to guide his leadership's decision-making.

Remote Crisis Management: His experience in REO asset management extends to handling high-stress operational issues remotely from Brazil. He cited a specific instance in which squatters invaded a property; he successfully coordinated with local police and brokers to resolve the situation and secure the asset, demonstrating resilience and strong remote management capabilities.

Specific Gap in Marketing Deliverables: While he is proficient with BPOs (Broker Price Opinions) and appraisals, he candidly admitted he has not yet created Offering Memorandums (OMs) or Broker Opinions of Value (BOVs). This is a specific technical area where he would need initial training to align with the role's marketing requirements.

Competencies & Soft Skills

Growth-Oriented: Repeatedly emphasized that his primary motivation for changing roles is finding a company with a clear career path and opportunities for internal advancement, citing this as the reason he originally joined Tusker.

Transparency & Integrity: Displayed high transparency regarding his current employment status, explaining clearly that his recent gap was due to a company-wide restructuring at Tusker Capital driven by budgetary constraints.
